OHHIC's newest project are three homes being renovated for first-time homebuyers who want to live in historic Oregon Hill. Probably investment properties when originally built in the 1880's, these individual, attached structures reside on the same deed. Deferred maintenance was evident and OHHIC is engaging in extensive renovation efforts to bring these houses back to as close to original condition as possible. New porches will be constructed with porch posts, brackets and railings to match others in the neighborhood. Existing wainscoting, trim, mantles, doors, siding, cornice and wood flooring will be saved and reworked in the restoration process as to contribute to the historic fabric of Oregon Hill.
